1. Recruiter-Friendly Summary

Managing high-volume student group chats is chaotic. Administrators are repeatedly queried for course PDFs, grades, and guidelines, while spam links clog discussion boards.

2. Platform Features & Architecture

Developed the Othama bot to act as a co-moderator. It blocks unauthorized attachments/links based on group rules, queries database records for grade requests, and serves academic content.

3. Engineering Challenges

Built in Node.js, hooking into message listeners to parse input commands (e.g. !grades, !document) and trigger automated responses via WhatsApp.

4. Implemented Solutions

Reduced manual moderating duties for community leads and provided students with instant, self-serve access to grades and study sheets.
